Abstract:

The goal of this proposed project is to carry out a small survey of plants (such as weeds) that can be found in New York City. Additionally, we hope to answer the question: “How common can we find invasive weeds in New York City?” Upon completion of the proposed study, we hope to discuss potential application of using plant DNA identification to criminal investigations.
