Abstract:

We decided to pursue the idea of fungal contamination in commercial yogurt. 24 Greek yogurt samples of different brands will be prepared for DNA barcoding using the ITS fungi primers in order to not only ascertain if fungi is present in the yogurt but also to discern the most abundant species of fungi in the yogurt if there is a fungal presence.
