Abstract:

Elderberry is one of the most commonly used medicinal plants in the world. Today, elderberry is most often taken as a pill to treat cold and flu symptoms as well as costumed via tea. It is available for purchase in stores but more so online. These observations led us to question whether or not there is authentic Elderberry in these easily accessible tea bags and pill capsules. We hypothesize that the least expensive brands of both the elderberry tea, and capsules will not contain elderberry, and if it does, will contain amounts of elderberry of very minimal extents. Our group aims to inspect the dependability of supposed accessible healing remedies.
