Abstract:

Our project is exploring the effect of vertical greening to the area around the overpasses. This project does help to find which kind of plants can live in poor-nutrition urban circumstances and how they survive in such a situation. DNA Barcoding can help us identify and classify the plants correctly. With the specific species, we can know the condition of their habitat, which is the area under those overpasses. We will collect our sample under the overpasses of Suzhou. rbcL primer will be our first choice of primer. Due to the time limit, we choose to use the silica method only.
