Abstract:

The objective in this Urban Barcode Project is to investigate and determine the correlation between ant biodiversity and urbanization in different parts of Northern New Jersey suburb. We plan to collect a total of fifteen ants’ samples from three different locations, varying in urbanization, and identify the species through DNA barcoding Chelex protocol.
