Abstract:

The purpose of this project is to DNA barcode the organism Viviparis malleatus that has never previously been barcoded and to find a way this organism can be a beneficial factor to our environment in New York. We will purchase the organism to study the DNA and be able to study its sequence. This organism was chosen because it has not been barcoded yet, and it is purchasable from an aquarium supplier.
