Abstract:

We are going to visit Van Cortlandt Park in New York. In the park, we will collect as many aquatic snail samples as we can in order to examine their DNA variation. We will test the water quality to see how the characteristics can affect the DNA of the snails. We will also identify how great the population of aquatic snails is in each area, to see how different environments affect snail fatality rates. Once we collect all our samples, we will extract the DNA to understand the variation.
