Abstract:

Our DNA Barcode project aims to distinguish spotted lanternflies from the native insects with similar appearance found on Governors Island by DNA barcoding. Our DNA barcode research result may help other researchers in their research to control the spread of this invasive species and to avoid accidental killing of native insects which look alike spotted lanternfly..
