Abstract:

Bennet Askenazi 10:44 AM (4 hours ago) to me In this Urban Barcode Project, we will examine the gall-wasp diversity within different species of oak trees in Van Cortlandt Park. We plan to extract DNA from the wasp larvae and determine its species of wasps. We are hoping to find multiple species of gall wasps on leaves in Van Cortlandt Park and be able to identify the type of tree they grow on in the park. We will then record all data in the sample database.
