Abstract:

This study aims to compare the diversity of algae at 2 different locations: The Lake at Central Park and the Upper Reservoir at Black Rock Forest. By examining water quality measurements (pH, dissolved oxygen, nitrates, and nitrites) and the genetic diversity of our algal samples, our goal is to understand how urbanization affects water quality and algal biodiversity.
