Abstract:

Chamomile is popular across the world, over a million cups of chamomile are consumed daily. Two species are present in teas: Roman and German chamomile, both suffer from fungus and insect pests. DNA barcoding will help decipher which species make up our teas, and if fungus or invertebrates are present.
