Abstract:

We plan to analyze by DNA barcoding, samples of vegetarian hot dogs to determine whether or not they contain DNA evidence of animal tissue. DNA from vegetarian hot dogs will be amplified using DNA primers specific to animal DNA, proof that adulteration of vegetarian hot dogs takes place in our marketplace.
