Abstract:
This project is meant to observe different types of benthic macroinvertebrates that occupy Pier 101. 27 specimens were sequenced; DNA was recovered from 20. The 20 specimens were shown to be macroinvertebrates often found in New England. 16/20 sequenced organisms were identified correctly; 4 samples were sequenced but identified incorrectly.
