The basis of our experiment started with a question from our mentor, who himself takes probiotics to aid in the reduction of cholesterol. If you’ve ever had a yogurt with the word “probiotic” on it, and have been told that it is good for you, have you ever stopped to think about what it is? The probiotics are exactly what they sound like: good bacteria. Comparatively, have you ever wondered if the supplement you are taking is truly present in the product? This is what we aimed to solve, though we did not get concrete results.
