Abstract:

New York City has a vast marine biodiversity in the estuarine ecosystem, mostly located in the fusion of the saline Atlantic waters and the fresh waters of the Hudson River. To better understand what capabilities organisms possess that made them successful in inhabiting this area, we collected sea snails and crabs from Brooklyn Bridge Park and DNA barcoded them.
