Abstract:

Our project aims to identify viruses that might be used for therapeutic purposes by sampling a wide spectrum of samples found in and around the New York area. More specifically, here we propose to search for microbes that infect bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus), yeast (Pichia), or transformed mammalian cells (African green monkey).
