Abstract:

The Project goal is to determine the ant biodiversity at two local Long Island sites and determine the effect of human interaction on this biodiversity. The project hypothesis is that there will be less biodiversity among ant species in a more trafficked site (Argyle Park). Stable ecosystems are necessary to maintain a healthy human society. This project aims to identify factors that can effect biodiversity and therefore the health of an ecosystem.
