Abstract:

Mashomack, the nature conservancy on Shelter Island covers about one third of the landmass and will have the greatest diversity of ants any region as it has limited human interaction. While this will be a good thing as it implies the island is a healthy place, we expect that we will find ants outside of their traditional range showing evidence of climate change.
