Abstract:

This project is aimed at identifying the major species of insects and invertebrates located in a new nature trail being built at Longwood High School. We hope to identify insect and invertebrate species expected to be present in the pine barrens ecosystem. We also wish to identify any invasive insect and invertebrate species present and to research whether higher temperatures in the past decade may have caused these species to migrate north from their usual ranges.
