Abstract:

In many ecosystems, changes in biodiversity are a significant indicator in the stability of teh ecosystem, and the effects of human involvment. On September 30, 2022, we collected samples of macroinvertebrates from Massapequa preserve, to monitor the biodiversity of the area, compared to previous years. Studies on biodiversity are not uncommon, similar studies have been done by Stanford University (Kubota, 2019) and Harvard University (Jenkins, 2008). By monitoring the biodiversity of Massapequa preserve, we can observe changes in the environment, as others have done before us.
