Abstract:

Runoff rainwater on a hill changes the ant biodiversity depending on the location of the ants on the hill. The goal for this project is to find how runoff water affects ant populations on different parts of the hill. By collecting ants on different parts of the hill we should be able to tell how the runoff water affects the ant population. We will collect them by creating traps with bottles with peanut butter to draw out the ants and trap them in the bottle. We expect a difference as the lower you go on the hill the more water is collected.
