Abstract:

The biodiversity of an environment is the variety of species and organisms that make up an ecosystem. Long Island is home to various ecosystems, full of different organisms and life. The biodiversity of an ecosystem is what allows species to properly function. Different organisms and invertebrates have different functions, that enable the ecosystem to grow and prosper. In this project, our group is focusing on the biodiversity of Bailey Arboretum, located in Lattingtown, New York. Bailey Arboretum is a vast property of land and wilderness, full of diverse organisms and species.
