Abstract:

We aim to apply airborne eDNA technology to research plant biodiversity in a 20 hectare (50-acre) uneven aged, mixed hardwood, remnant urban old-growth forest. We will test two air filtration rates to determine which collects more analyzable eDNA as well as determine the maximum distance eDNA from a population of aquatic plants can be detected along a terrestrial transect.
