Abstract:

Biodiversity is crucial because it supports ecosystem stability and resilience, ensuring that different species can adapt to changes. It also provides essential ecosystem services like clean water and air, pollination, and nutrient cycling, benefiting both nature and humans. When traveling through the creek, water invertebrates were collected by disturbing the soil and by searching in logs. When the water invertebrates were collected, they were then placed in a tube with 95% ethanol alcohol. After being collected into sample tubes, they were then placed under a camera and pictures were taken to measure the length of them. After they were pictured, they were placed back into sample tubes for further inspection. Conducting these steps help people to understand the importance behind biodiversity and how it can improve our lives in such simple ways. Like stated before, biodiversity can increase the number of niches in an environment further supporting the ecosystem's stability, biodiverse
