This study aims to investigate the diversity and distribution of aquatic macroinvertebrates in the Connetquot River. By sampling at multiple sites along the river, we aim to identify key macroinvertebrate species and assess their ecological roles within the river. Sampling methods include using a D-net, followed by identification using DNA barcoding. Data analysis will focus on abundance and the relationship between macroinvertebrate communities and environmental variables such as water quality. The findings will provide insights into the health of the Connetquot River ecosystem and contribute to effective management and conservation strategies After identification we will use some of our historical data to interpret the health of the ecosystem in which we collected them
