Abstract:

For this project we are checking the biodiversity of ants in Wantagh at the 3 elementary schools in Wantagh- Wantagh Elementary, Forest Lake Elementary, and Mandalay School. For this, we intend to lure ants into a plate of food substance to trap them inside plastic cups, then seal them and finally freeze them. We expect to find different species of ants or colonies because activity and environment of each school is different.
