Abstract:

Beetles, an insect a part of the Arthropod phylum, are known to have almost 30,000 species that have been discovered in North America, although many have yet to be discovered. Beetles exist in many different habitats and are valuable to humans because of their position as prominent decomposers. Additionally, beetles have the ability to reduce the population of pests that may irritate humans. For example, beetles eat gnats, aphids, and thrips. This experiment was chosen to gain insight into beetles and to provide important information for future researchers. Light pollution is the brightening of the sky due to streetlights and other man-made sources. An urban city has tons of light pollution, and a rural countryside lacks light pollution. Light pollution hinders the visibility of stars and disrupts the relationships between predator and prey species, reducing the number of nocturnal animals, and contributing to climate change. In order to conduct this experiment, various beetles will be
