Abstract:

Ants are a vital part of the world’s many ecosystems. The benefits of ant populations include, but are not limited to; natural cleaning, distributing, and general maintenance of an ecosystem. The overall biodiversity of an ant population in an area can be affected by the soil they inhabit. In this project, ant samples will be collected from four different sites. Ants are expected to be more diverse in areas with soil that is expected to have higher quality than other sites.
