Abstract:

We seek to use DNA Barcoding to investigate the effect of microwave radiation on three different forms of carrot products. We plan to evaluate the difference between the DNA sequences, before and after microwaving, of three different forms of carrot products: organic baby carrots, regular baby carrots, and carrot baby food. In addition, we hope to determine whether or not the ingredients claimed to be used in the baby food carrot puree are accurate.
