Massapequa Creek is a flowing body of water, containing a multifariousness of life. DNA Barcoding will examine the experiment conducted further by taking a beyond-microscopic view of the specimens gathered, including those found within the creek, the damp, nutrient-filled dirt, and the included, isolated side of the bark. The use of ethanol, and a freezer, allowed for the specimens to be preserved. The extraction of the specimens’ DNA, condoned from DNA barcoding, will allow for the analysis, and possible identification of the specimens found.
