The objective was to collect insects and aquatic organisms from the preserve next to the Ames campus, by going into the river and the surrounding environment in the forest to find isopods, worms, ect. The main goal was to identify the amount of biodiversity in the surrounding environment. Multiple species were found in each spot when searching for specimens. From all locations of specimen collection, about 8 different species out of the 10 specimens our team collected was diverse. This proves large amounts of biodiversity in the environment.
