Abstract:

Mushrooms are bioindicators that can help one learn about the environment. Mushrooms can show in their population numbers, if there is an excessive amount of CO2 in the air, for example. This study will investigate the biodiversity of mushrooms, which is important because Through taxonomic identification and DNA barcoding, the team will learn what different kinds of mushrooms are growing in a nature trail, field, and pond habitat of a high school campus. It is expected that a wider variety of mushrooms will be in the pond habitats that are less affected by human activity.
