Abstract:

The purpose of this project is to measure how much DNA can be extracted from different common grass species using the same extraction method. By comparing the DNA concentration, the project aims to show which grasses are the best source of extractable DNA and to understand why certain grasses produce higher or lower quantities. This project information may help improve DNA barcoding in school labs and other research areas, such as forensic science investigation.
